Handbook for Medical Practitioners and Medical Students
This handbook has been produced by Dr Robert Turnbull, Medical advisor to the State Coroner, to assist medical practitioners and medical students to understand the role and function of the coroner and an understanding of the basics of the Coroner's Act 1996.
It highlights the importance for all practitioners to have a clear understanding of what constitutes a "reportable death" and the responsibilities that are incumbent upon the practitioner to fulfil the requirements of the Act.
