Summary - The deceased was a 57 year old woman who presented at the Geraldton Regional Hospital ED complaining of abdominal pain.  The deceased underwent emergency surgery.

The inquest focused on the post-operative management of the deceased.

The Coroner found the deceased died on 18 September 2008 and that the cause of death was intra-abdominal haemorrhage following appendectomy. The manner of death was misadventure.
