Court accessibility
Every court location has accessible toilets available to the public. Please ask a Court Officer to direct you to the nearest accessible toilet.
Hearings in the Coroners Court are held in different buildings across the state. The design and layout of these buildings vary. Accessibility arrangements may need to be organised before you arrive.

Interpreter Services
Interpreter services for deaf, hearing impaired and/or speech impaired clients are available. Arrangements can be made for an AUSLAN interpreter service provider to accompany clients who are deaf, hearing impaired and/or speech impaired.

Translating and Interpreting Service
The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) provides a service that helps with communication between people who do not speak English, and English speakers. TIS can provide both telephone and onsite interpreters.

Assistance Animals
If you have an assistance animal you will be bringing to court, you can contact the Court to discuss how the court might assist you and your assistance animal.
An assistance animal should meet the definition of assistance animal in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 section 54A(5). Assistance animals may be subject to manual security screening.

Should you require any assistance not outlined above, please contact the court. Your request will be looked at. If possible, arrangements will be made.
The court will contact you about your request once a decision has been made.
