The Equal Justice Bench Book is intended to provide WA judicial officers with an understanding of the range of values, cultures, lifestyles and life experiences of people from different backgrounds, together with an understanding of the potential difficulties, barriers or inequities people from different backgrounds may face in relation to court proceedings.
It offers practical examples of how to take appropriate account of these differences in court and tribunal proceedings.

This handbook has been produced by Dr Robert Turnbull to assist medical practitioners and medical students to understand the role and function of the coroner and an understanding of the basics of the Coroner's Act 1996.
It highlights the importance for all practitioners to have a clear understanding of what constitutes a "reportable death" and the responsibilities that are incumbent upon the practitioner to fulfil the requirements of the Act.
